What’s interesting is that in future movies - from the Jetsons onwards - there is still media. In the Jetsons it was punch cards for pizza, in Minority Report it was those weird discs or whatever. I seem to remember reading/watching some sci-fi thing where you had little cubes that contain your data.

That’s not the way the world is moving. We are moving closer and closer to the point where physical media are unusual. Everything is online and you just access it when you need. No more posing discs or transporting actual physical items. It’s all URIs and access credentials.
